Investment Opportunities in High Growth Countries,

The UAE plans to host a global investment meeting in the country
that will focus on foreign direct investment (FDI) and international
trade cooperation. Within the framework of its ongoing strategy to
expand its ties with international organizations, stimulate
international trade and cooperation, provide a new and diverse
portfolio of investment opportunities, the UAE Ministry of Foreign
Trade on Sunday announced the upcoming Annual Investment Meeting
(AIM), to be held from May 10-12, 2011 in Dubai
According to Abdulla A. Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry
of Foreign Trade said,
“Our paramount mission is to encourage FDI and unravel
country-specific PPP opportunities by showcasing represented
countries economic potential.” Accordingly, the event’s theme is:
Investing in emerging markets, high growth countries, identifying
opportunities in fast growing economic sectors and fostering
sustainable development. AIM objective is to bolster trade
relations, renew reciprocal business commitments, and ignite
strategic investments from global investors towards high growth
economies, Al Saleh said.
The audience will be coming from across the globe: 15 per cent
Americas (North, Central & South), 20 per cent Europe (Eastern,
Western & Central), 15 per cent Africa (North & Sub-Saharan), 22 per
cent Asia (Asia Pacific & South Asia), 28 per cent Middle East
(GCC).
The AIM is designed as a platform for investors interested in
realistic, scalable, sustainable and long term investment
opportunities in the emerging markets, developing economies,
recession-proof and resilient countries.
Detailing the structure of the event and the vision behind it,
Dawood Al Shezawi, Chief Executive Officer, Strategic Marketing &
